Stay inside a valley
Renan Valley · Shangri-La · Yunnan
Yesu
Renan Valley lies on the road to Pudacuo. The Qudzhen river runs beneath Dabao Temple, Tibetan farmhouses are scattered up the slopes, and yaks wander the pasture at their own pace.
We pitched a few tents here and built a few timber rooms, leaving a 270-degree view open — to the snow peaks, the meadows, the clouds, and to you.
There is no need to hurry. Stay a few nights. Watch the sunrise light the valley layer by layer; watch the stars settle over the tent roof.

壹Our Story
It began with one tent
In 2016 the first tent went up in the valley: the frame of a Tibetan nomad tent, the comfort of a proper room. We wanted a place where people could sleep well in the wild.
贰The Valley
Two hundred and seventy degrees of open land
Open the tent flap and there is pasture in front, snow peaks beyond, ridgelines on either side. Sea of cloud at dawn, rainbows after rain, the whole Milky Way at night.
叁Stay
Six kinds of room, eleven in all
Kongcen, Lanju, Songqi, Qingyu, Yunwu, Qiye — every one stands alone, every one faces the mountains. Carved Tibetan beds, hand-painted rugs, underfloor heating, oxygen and humidifiers: the mountains are cold, the bed should be warm.
肆Gatherings
Living alongside the valley
Stars on new-moon nights, an early walk to Dabao Temple, a fire after snowfall. Few gatherings, each one unhurried.
伍Handmade
Things made by mountain hands
Nixi black pottery, yak wool, wildflower honey. We keep only what we use and love ourselves, and show it here.
陆Journal
Letters to the valley
Solar terms, weather, guests, small happenings. Every so often the founder writes one down.
The mountain says nothing. It simply stays, waiting for you to slow down.— From the founder’s journal
叁Stay
Eleven rooms, one whole valley
